Generally, the reel size 5000  is on the medium end of reel sizes. Hence, it can carry out fishing activities (similar to size 4000) that mostly involve targeting freshwater salmon in deep and hard-flowing rivers.  It can also be used for Big game saltwater tropical species like Mahi Mahi, Giant Trevally, barracuda, etc. However, it is worth noting that this 5000-sized reel means that the spool and line limit is marginally bigger than the size 4000 spinning reel.
