Saltwater Advantage
Advanced Corrosion Protection: Riptide's premium-grade alloys are fortified by a multi-step cleaning process, tough-as-nails armor plating & a durable, saltwater-resistant powder coat paint. With layers of protection, the elements are truly protected.

Fully Encapsulated Electronics: Marine-grade urethane fully encapsulates Riptide control boards to protect the electronic circuitry. All electrical connections are sealed with waterproof heat-shrink tubing to keep saltwater out.

Sacrificial Anode: We use metals that are properly balanced & a composite shaft to ward off galvanic corrosion. So the only piece left for saltwater to attack is this little zinc anode, which absorbs corrosion so the rest of the motor doesn't have to.

WARRANTY ON MINN KOTA SALTWATER TROLLING MOTORS

Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics, Inc. (“JOME”) extends the following limited warranty to the original retail purchaser only. Warranty coverage is not transferable.

1. Minn Kota Limited Two-Year Warranty on the Entire Product

JOME warrants to the original retail purchaser only, ensuring that the buyer's new Minn Kota saltwater trolling motor will be materially free from defects in materials and workmanship appearing within two (2) years after the date of purchase.

Furthermore, at JOME's discretion,  they will either repair or replace, free of charge, any defective parts during the warranty term. The repair and replacement fees will be shouldered by JOME. However, the buyer's exclusive repair of the machine will be considered a breach of this warranty.

2. Minn Kota Limited Lifetime Warranty on Composite Shaft

JOME also offers a lifetime warranty for Minn Kota trolling motor's composite shaft, ensuring that it will be materially free from defects in materials and workmanship appearing within the original purchaser’s lifetime. JOME will either provide a new composite shaft or replace any composite shaft found by JOME to be defective; both are to be free of charge and only applicable during the warranty term.

Moreover, the repair and replacement fees will be shouldered by JOME. However, it will be the purchaser's responsibility to install, or cover the cost of labor to install, of any new composite shaft provided by JOME.

EXCLUSIONS & LIMITATIONS:

The warranty is not inclusive of repair and replacements for machines that are used commercially or for rental purposes. It also does not cover normal wear and tears blemishes that do not affect the operation of the product or damage caused by accidents, abuse, alteration, modification, shipping damages, negligence of the user or misuse, improper or insufficient care, or maintenance.

Furthermore, any damages caused by the use of other replacement parts not meeting the design specifications of the original parts will not be covered by this limited warranty. Moreover, the cost of normal maintenance or replacement parts that are not in breach of the limited warranty is the responsibility of the purchaser.
