The Ambassadeur S round baitcast reel gets the job done day after day with two stainless steel ball bearings that provide smooth operation. The 12.5 pounds of drag pressure and a four-pin centrifugal brake deliver power, and controlled casting is ready for various situations. The addition of a bent handle and drag star translates into a more ergonomic feel for all-day comfort. Both the 5500 and 6500 sizes are available in left and right-hand models.

Centrifugal Brake System

The Ambassadeur reels feature a 4 or 6 pin centrifugal brake that keeps consistent brake pressure throughout the cast once engaged. Once activated, the brake blocks will move up and down the pins freely. 

Tension Knob

For maximum casting distance and the minimal tendency of line overrun, it is also necessary to adjust the tension knob to match the weight of the lure and angler preference. 

Line Out Alarm

The line-out alarm switch captures an audible alarm to alert the angler that the line is moving from the spool. It is most useful when trolling or still fishing. The line-out alarm must be disengaged when casting and released when retrieving line or fighting fish.
